AIG Exec Gets New Responsibilities

June 3, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Peter Harbeck, president and chief executive officer of the AIG SunAmerica Asset Management Corp., is getting a few additional titles and job responsibilities to go with them, AIG announced.

A news release said Harbeck has also been named president and chief executive officer of the AIG Advisor Group and executive vice president of AIG Retirement Services, Inc. In this expanded role, he will assume executive responsibility for the AIG Advisor Group broker-dealers. Harbeck assumed his current position in 1995.

Harbeck, who will continue to report to Jay Wintrob, president and chief executive officer of AIG Retirement Services, Inc, joined the Asset Management Division of Integrated Resources, Inc. in 1988 prior to its acquisition by SunAmerica Inc.

Harbeck, 50, is a native of Grand Haven, Michigan, and received his B.A. degree in American History from Harvard University in 1976.
