AIG Provides Benefits for Members' Domestic Employees

August 11, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - AIG Private Client Group, a division of the personal lines property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), today introduced health benefits coverage to full-time domestic staff employed by its policyholders.

According to a press release, Basic Health Benefits for Private Staff provides fixed-amount, first dollar accident and sickness coverage for hospital stays, surgery, critical illness care, preventative care, well-child visits, and accidental death and dismemberment. Participants can access a nationwide network of doctors and hospitals offering pre-negotiated discounts, have access to a 24-hour, toll-free nurse hotline and receive a prescription discount card.

“Many of our policyholders consider their nannies, home health workers or other domestic employees to be extended members of the family,” said Charles Williamson, President, AIG Private Client Group, in the announcement. “Providing this coverage not only safeguards the well-being of these individuals, but also it can help employers attract and retain qualified, trustworthy staff.”

AIG Private Client Group’s Basic Health Benefits currently is available in all states except for Connecticut, Minnesota and Washington. More information is at www.aigpcg.com .
