AIG Teams up with SASBO for 403(b) Educational Webcast

January 28, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - AIG Retirement has teamed up with the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials (SASBO) to present an educational Webcast for 403(b) plan sponsors.

In December, the Internal Revenue Service extended the time sponsors have to comply with the written plan document requirement of new 403(b) regulations. The Webcast speakers will discuss what that means for plan sponsors, especially since the January 1, 2009, general effective date for the regulations remains in place and has passed.

The Webcast moderator will be Robert Terry, CPA, President, The Southeastern Association of School Business Officials. Robert Architect, Senior Tax Law Specialist, IRS, and Richard Turner, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, VALIC, are the panelists.

The Webcast is scheduled for February 10, 2009, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time.
