AIG VALIC SPECTRUM 401(k) Platform Introduced

August 9, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC) and American International Group, Inc. (AIG) have introduced a new 401(k) platform, the AIG VALIC SPECTRUM 401(k).

CPI Qualified Plan Consultants, Inc. is partnering with the company to provide recordkeeping and administration services for the new platform, according to a company press release.   OppenheimerFunds, Inc. is the lead fund company in the multiple-fund family 401(k) product.

According to Bill Rapp, director of Marketing Sales Support for VALIC the new platform “ provides plan sponsors with a bundled arrangement with the flexibility of an unbundled package.”

VALIC provides retirement plan services for more than 28,000 not-for-profit and for-profit education, health care and public sector organizations.

AIG companies provide retirement services, financial services, and asset management to commercial, institutional, and individual customers worldwide.
