American Portfolios Announces New Executive Appointment

June 14, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Joseph B. (Joby) Gruber has been named president of national sales and marketing for American Portfolios Financial Services (APFS).

As a member of the firm’s executive management team, Gruber will lead the strategic expansion of sales and marketing services, which include field marketing support, strategic relationship management, practice management, new business development, and marketing communications.  

According to a press release, Gruber brings more than 25 years of experience to the firm, having served as president and chief executive officer of FSC Securities Corporation and president of AIG Advisor Network.  

Headquartered in Holbrook, New York, APFS is a full-service independent broker/dealer offering a range of financial services, including personal financial and retirement planning, securities trading, mutual funds, access to investment research, long-term care planning, insurance products, and tax-free investing.
