AP System Unveils AP Compliance Offering

Payable Network (TAPN) has unveiled an Accounts Payable (AP)
Compliance Suite.

A news release said that finance professionals can use TAPN’s online service for the latest resources and tools to maintain compliancy for their organization. Highlights of the service include one-stop charts of sales tax sourcing rules (taxable items, online exemption and resale certificates, sales & use tax rates, and revenue department links and contact information, all presented state by state), a Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Kit (internal control checklists and policy manual templates), and 1099 Reporting Guidelines (resources to ensure compliance with IRS payment information reporting requirements), among other things.
“Accounts payable professionals are increasingly responsible for managing an organization’s compliance with regulations governing internal controls, tax, escheatment and international purchases,” said Phil Binkow, CEO, TAPN. “AP Compliance Suite combines all the resources necessary for managing these AP responsibilities in one convenient online location. According to the announcement, resources in AP Compliance Suite include definitions, requirements, explanations, reference tables, answers to TAPN members’ detailed compliance questions, an AP Research section and links to government-required forms.
