Ascensus Appoints New Regional Vice President

July 19, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Ascensus named Cheryl Courtney regional vice president of its “West” territory.

Courtney will oversee Ascensus’ distribution networks in southern California, Nevada and Hawaii and work with the company’s business partners and financial adviser clients to expand their business in the region.

“We are pleased to have Cheryl join our national sales team,” said Stephen Cronin, national sales director at Ascensus. “She comes to Ascensus with significant wholesaling experience and valuable relationships with key financial advisers, third-party administrators and investment-only partners throughout an area that is essential to the organization.”

Before joining Ascensus, Courtney worked as a retirement plan wholesaler in California.

Courtney holds a Series 7 securities license, and is accredited investment fiduciary (AIF) and accredited retirement plan consultant (ARPC). She is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries and the Employee Benefits Association of Los Angeles.
