A news release from Capital Directions Investment Advisors said it developed the Advisors Access 401(k) platform after serving as a fiduciary adviser to two law firms.
The announcement said participants can choose from a lineup of adviser-managed portfolios in which to invest and will have access to one-on-one advice.
“Our experience has shown that participants don’t want more choice, they want more help”, said Scott Pritchard, Managing Director of Advisors Access, said in the news release. “Even the most intelligent, highly educated participants have trouble developing, implementing and monitoring a successful investment strategy on their own.”
The announcement said the firm assumed fiduciary liability for plan investment decisions. “That is a real differentiator our clients value a great deal,”said Pritchard.
