AUL Retirement Names Southern Region 403(b) Sales Exec

January 8, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Retirement Services division at American United Life Insurance Company (AUL), a OneAmerica company, has announced the appointment of James R. Daniel, Jr. as the division's regional vice president for 403(b) sales, Southern region.

Daniel will be specializing in retirement planning for the small businesses, and will be stationed out of the Regional Nonprofit Sales Management office in Nashville, Tennessee.

He will help AUL Retirement Services target non-profit clients in Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Southern California, according to the announcement.

Daniel will also work with sales directors to develop business opportunities and plan solutions for the 403(b) market.

A 30-year retirement industry veteran specializing in retirement plan sales, product design, and new market development, Daniel most recently served as the executive vice president of corporate retirement plan distribution for Symetra Financial, the announcement said. In that role, he concentrated on strategic planning, forecasting, program and product creation, and new market development.
