Baron Hires Barrett for Sales Post

In this newly created position, Barrett is responsible for sales for institutional distribution channels. He will report directly to Linda Martinson, president and chief operating officer of the firm.

Barrett has more than 25 years of experience in financial services and over 19 years in asset management marketing and sales. Most recently, he was a managing director and head of global distribution at Citadel Investment Group, according to the announcement.

Prior to that, he served as senior managing director and head of global business development for Bear Stearns Asset Management, and was responsible for global sales and marketing to institutional and retail markets.

Barrett earned a BS in Economics from John Carroll University and a Master of Management in Economics and Finance from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.
