BoNY and Wilshire Integrate Risk Management Offerings

September 22, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Bank of New York (BoNY) and Wilshire Associates will integrate their respective risk management services.

The integration will include the companies’:

  • performance measurements
  • analytics
  • fixed income and equity attribution
  • universe comparisons
  • compliance
  • risk budgeting
  • risk measurements.

In a press release, BoNY asserted that the partnership was created to better meet the risk management demands of large institutional investors in outsourcing risk service solutions, as well as bundling risk services with other security services. The bank also hopes to offer stand-alone risk services.

BoNY’s Global Risk Services division will coordinate the integration process of Wilshire risk products, according to the release. Wilshire Analytics, a business unit of Wilshire Associates, will provide technology to support the product integration.

The Bank of New York ( www.bankofny.com ) and Wilshire Associates ( www.wilshire.com)  together provide risk services to over 600 institutional investor clients who have approximately $14 trillion in assets under management.
