Boston U. Offers New Investment Management Degree

October 17, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.COM) - Boston University has unveiled a new Master of Science degree in Investment Management, the first and only of its kind in the country.
The program was designed to keep up with the changing dynamic of the investment management industry.  

With an advisory board composed of executives from Fidelity, Morgan Stanley, Prudential, State Street Global Advisors, and Putnam, the MSIM program will teach students the theory as well as the business of investment management, focusing on business ethics in real-world operations.  

Designed to accommodate the schedule of working professionals, and coordinated with the course of study for the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification, the program will offer classes one night a week and alternate Saturdays in a variety of topics:    risk management, derivatives, fixed income securities, and equity analysis, to name a few.
