Ceridian Adds Streaming Video HR Offerings to Web Site

August 9, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Employees of organizations providing Ceridian EAP, work-life and Health & Productivity Management services can now access related streaming videos on Ceridian's Web site.

A Ceridian news release said that the two- to three-minute videos deal with topics such as managing personal debt, depression, and other personal and family subjects. The online videos are delivered by consultants who are subject-matter experts, the announcement said.

“The videos provide an excellent starting point for people to obtain information about how to best deal with issues in their life,” said Jim Corcoran, president of Ceridian Benefit Services, in the announcement.   “They provide information in a very engaging format and are fully integrated with other modes of access.”

Among the topics that are currently available through LifeWorks Online’s new streaming video option are:

  • making time to recharge your batteries
  • managing worry
  • recognizing depression
  • steps you can take to reduce your debt
  • communicating as a couple.

The streaming videos can be viewed by users in one of three formats – high bandwidth (for those using a high speed connection), low bandwidth (for those using a dial-up connection), and text (for those using assistive technology like screen readers). After viewing a video, participants are encouraged to call a consultant for more information. They also have easy access to additional information including articles, interactive tools and online ordering of materials and other resources.

According to the company, Ceridian’s EAP and work-life services are utilized by more than 25,000 organizations worldwide. More information about Ceridian is at  www.myceridian.com .
