A CIGNA said the expanded service hours would be at its call centers located in Bourbonnais, Illinois; Bloomfield, Connecticut; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Denison, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona.; Scranton, Pennsylvania.; and Visalia, California, which the company said average 100,000 service calls and e-mails a day during the work week.
The customer service representatives will be available Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) and holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.
“Sometimes your health plan questions just can’t wait until Monday; and to be a leading health service company, we need to be there when you need us,” said CIGNA Senior Vice President of Service Operations, Brett Browchuk, in a news release.
