Cigna Expands Web-Based Services

September 13, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Cigna Healthcare, through its online 'control panel', has launched new eligibility and enrollment capabilities in order to aid employee benefit plan administrators manage their Cigna health plans at lower cost.

The new tools, offered at CIGNAaccess.com, enable administrators to enroll new employees and their dependants, cancel coverage, as well as change benefit elections and member demographics. The site also allows administrators access to real-time data that can be customized to the user’s needs.

“With CIGNAaccess.com, we can provide real-time plan information, to help our customers make better strategic decisions regarding their benefits plans, and interactive tools to simplify plan administration,” said Jim Lyski, Cigna HealthCare senior vice president of marketing, in a Managed Care Weekly Digest release. “CIGNAaccess.com integrates Cigna’s broad spectrum of benefit plans to give employers the information they need for plan analysis and forecasting – while also providing the tools to assist employees with their benefit transactions and decisions.”

The website was originally launched in 2003, the site is part of a larger we-based program from employees and administrators using Cigna healthcare.
