CIGNA Snags Ex-Towers Perrin Exec

In this role, Guilmette will drive growth with large employers and organizations providing benefits to their employees. 

Guilmette was most recently a managing director of Towers Perrin/Towers Watson’s global Health & Welfare practice. He joined Towers Perrin in 1988 where he has had increasing responsibility in its health and welfare business.

According to the announcement, Guilmette has led major benefit strategies for numerous Global 1000 companies, focusing on all aspects of plan development and delivery.

He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Chicago and serves on the board of trustees of the Employee Benefits Research Institute.

Cordani, CIGNA’s president and chief executive officer, in the announcement.
