Citizen Advisers Launches Social, Value Fund

September 25, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Citizens Advisers, Inc. has launched the Citizens Value Fund, a large-cap value strategy designed to provide long-term capital appreciation.

Citizens Advisers is investment advisor to Citizens Funds, a provider of socially and environmentally responsible mutual funds.

As with all Citizens’ investment portfolios, the fund will employ the firm’s financial, social and environmental screening methodology, and will adhere to an investment discipline involving:

  • value, indicators that a company’s stock price is undervalued relative to its intrinsic worth,
  • fundamentals, a company’s basic components such as the strength of its balance sheet and free cash flow, and
  • positive momentum catalyst, something that will trigger a positive movement in the stock price

Citizens Funds portfolio now includes six equity funds, an intermediate-term bond fund and a money market fund. In addition to the new fund, the fund family’s equity offerings include:

  • Citizens Core Growth Fund,
  • Citizens Emerging Growth Fund,
  • Citizens Small Cap Core Growth Fund,
  • Citizens Global Equity Fund, and
  • Citizens International Growth Fund
