City of Milwaukee Seeking Executive Director-Deferred Compensation Board

April 23, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The City of Milwaukee is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director-Deferred Compensation Board.

The position was previously held by William C. Thompson II, who passed away on February 3, 2008.

In 2001, Thompson became the executive director for the Milwaukee Deferred Compensation Plan, in which 10,000 active and retired employees participate. Prior to being appointed to the executive director position, Thompson worked for the City’s Equal Opportunities Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program, a non-profit agency, and Miller Brewing. Thompson is missed not only by his family and friends, but also by his colleagues at the City of Milwaukee and others in the community. For many years he had been a grade school basketball and flag football coach, and he was much-admired by those who knew him.

The City of Milwaukee Department of Employee Relations is accepting applications for the executive director position on behalf of the Deferred Compensation Board until May 9, 2008 .
