Called Compass Retirement Solutions, the new service is designed to help choose 401(k), profit-sharing and other benefit plans, and it also offers access to plan providers.
The bank says it receives no special compensation for recommending one vendor over another, which it said provides additional flexibility in combining products and pricing them for clients.
Birmingham-based Compass Bancshares Inc., the holding company for Compass Bank, has 409 full-service bank branches in Alabama, Texas, Florida, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
