CTS Selects Northern Trust

February 16, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - CTS Corporation, which manufactures electronic components and assemblies for communications gear, has named Northern Trust Retirement Consulting Services to provide outsourced defined benefit and retiree health and welfare administration for the corporation's 9,000 employees worldwide.

Northern will provide plan administration, benefit payments, employee communications and educational support for six defined benefit plans. 

Servicing will be done via Northern’s Passport system that allows plan participants to see their account and benefit information and make any needed transactions 24 hours a day.

One reason Northern was selected was due to its technology, according to James L. Cummins, vice president, human resources for CTS Corporation.
