DoL Offers Free Seminar for Pittsburgh Plan Sponsors

September 30, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Plan sponsors in the Pittsburgh area will have a chance to gain a better understanding of their fiduciary responsibilities next month.

On October 30 the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) will sponsor “Getting It Right – Know Your Fiduciary Responsibilities,” a free compliance assistance seminar.  

The seminar, part of EBSA’s national fiduciary education campaign to increase awareness and understanding of basic responsibilities associated with operating private sector retirement plans, will be conducted at the Westin Convention Center Hotel in Pittsburgh.   Employers, plan fiduciaries and providers of plan services are welcome to attend.

Partners include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Society for Human Resource Management, the National Federation of Independent Business and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
