EBSA Co-Sponsoring Retirement Planning Workshop for Women

March 30, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is co-sponsoring a Webcast on April 12 to help women with retirement planning issues.

The Webcast will help women who are about 10 to 15 years from retirement figure out if their retirement planning is on track and find ways to fill in any savings gap. It will provide tools and information for women of all ages who have questions about retirement planning.   

The sponsors will discuss how to make the most of savings opportunities at work and how to make savings last over a possibly long retirement. The Webcast also will highlight issues that can make retirement planning more difficult for women, including widowhood and divorce.   

In addition, the Social Security Administration will discuss Social Security retirement benefits and what women may want to consider in deciding when to start receiving benefits.
