November 20, 2000 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Emplanet said it now offers "instantaneous" plan pricing and automated set up features on its customized small plan 401k product.

The Westborough, Mass.-based online plan vendor claims the new features reduce the time required to price and setup a plan to as little as 15 minutes.

Emplanet’s automated e401(k) set up process includes a five-step online interview, including choices from options such as:

  • automatic enrollment
  • vesting schedules
  • fund line-up
  • eligibility requirements

Emplanet said it also addresses commonly overlooked plan set-up issues, such as union, leased or Davis-Bacon employees.

Once the interview is complete, Emplanet generates the required legal documentation, which can be viewed online or printed for signature.  The plan is then ready to accept employee contributions the next day.
