A news release from the Arlington, Virginia-based EASNA said the report, “Selecting and Strengthening Employee Assistance Programs: A Purchaser’s Guide,” provides education, guidelines, data, and inside information on employee assistance programs (EAPs). It reviews the benefits of having an EAP, lists what to look for and consider when choosing an EAP provider, cites ways to evaluate your current EAP, and discusses how to get the most out of an EAP program.
The 62-page document was developed by EASNA’s Knowledge Transfer and Research Committee. The group said it is intended for purchasers and funders of EAPs; for human resources, finance, occupational health, labor/management, human capital, and other leadership staff of companies and organizations that work with EAPs; and for brokers and other sellers of EAP services.
The appendices provide resources for both the employer organization and the EAP provider and professionals, including external links and Web sites to resources and other similar reports.
