Fiduciary Trust Adds Two Fixed Income Funds

August 6, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Fiduciary Trust Company International has released two new fixed income funds offering institutional investors new conduits for investing in the core and core plus sectors of the fixed income market.

Both funds – Fiduciary Trust Core Fixed Income Fund and Fiduciary Trust Core Plus Fixed Income Fund – seek to take advantage of the spread sectors ofthe bond market, particularly in the core and core plus strategies, according to a news release.

A “core” fixed income approach is typicallycomprisedof the investment grade sectors such as government and corporate bonds and mortgage-andasset-backed securities.   Comparatively, “core plus,” is a fixed-income stylethat permits investment managers to add instruments with greater risk aswellas greater potential returns, including high-yield, global and emergingmarketdebt to their core portfolios of investment-grade bonds.
