Four Portfolio Managers Announce Retirement from AIM

November 8, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Four senior portfolio managers have retired from AIM Capital Management, according to a company announcement.

The departees are:

  • Polly Ahrendts, lead manager of AIM Select Fund.
  • David Barnard, co-manager of AIM Global Science and Technology Fund and AIM Summit Fund
  • Joel Dobberpuhl, lead manager of AIM Worldwide Spectrum Fund
  • A. Dale Griffin III., involved in AIM Asia Pacific Growth Fund and others.

The company said Dobberpuhl and Griffin would retire December 31, while the other two managers’ retirement is effective January 31, 2003.

Gary Crum, chief executive officer of AIM Capital Management and AIM’s Director of Investments, said members of the managers’ existing fund management teams would assume their responsibilities.
