Freedom Benefits Announces Association Health Plan Pricing for 2005

December 9, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Freedom Benefits Association has announced the release of new association health plan pricing for 2005.

The all-inclusive flat setup price, which was $150, will now be $90 for members of participating business organizations. The new price extends to many small business benefit plans like health reimbursement arrangements (HRA) and health savings accounts (HSA), the company said.

This price includes initial planning consultation along with benefit plan design, plan documents, employee enrollment communications, integration with payroll systems, and handling of all setup questions from the employer and employees, according to a press release.

The company’s announcement said advantages of the product include that:

  • each business customizes benefits to fit
  • it does not utilize commissioned sales agents and relies primarily on no-load financial products
  • utilizes one point of professional contact for the member’s benefit plans
  • it will respond to customers quickly – typically within a day for most plan set-up issues.
