Fremont Opens Institutional Web Site

March 22, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Institutional investors now have their own Web site for fund and fund manager information about Fremont Investment Advisors.

The site, www.fremontinstitutional.com , offers access and download capabilities for specific information about:

  • a Fremont manager’s background
  • Fremont fund performance
  • a Fremont manager’s investment strategy and philosophy
  • Fremont’s products

The site also includes “due diligence” which offer insight into how investment management decisions are made, as well as investment team experience.

Fremont Investment Advisors currently manages more than $8 billion for individual and institutional investors. It is a subsidiary of Fremont Group, a San Francisco-based private investment company with nearly $14 billion in assets under management. FIA is also the advisor to the Fremont family of 12 no-load funds.

Fremont began in 1986 when a group of investment professionals formed to serve as the in-house investment team for managing the pension plan of Bechtel Group.  Initially focused on defined contribution plan asset management, their services were eventually expanded to outside clients.
