In Sparta, Tennessee, a man learned that he won a drawing with all matching numbers on a lottery ticket worth $1,178,746. He had several errands to run that same day. According to the Associated Press, within an hour of running errands, he went from elated to panicked because he realized he didn’t have the winning ticket anymore. He retraced his steps and must have felt like he won twice when he found the ticket in an auto parts store parking lot. The amazing thing is it was a blustery day and the ticket didn’t blow away. “It’s a million-dollar ticket, and someone stepped right over it,” Slatten said, according to the news report.
