FundQuest Announces Sales and Marketing Hires

December 14, 2010 ( - FundQuest, a provider of investment research and wealth management solutions, has hired financial sales and services veterans Robert Vines and Andrew Simonetti as AVPs of Regional Sales.

In addition, FundQuest’s Relationship Management group has brought on Carla Portelli as Vice President of National Accounts, and Jessica Zall has assumed leadership of FundQuest’s Marketing department. Melissa Peterson, CFA, also joins the firm’s Investment Management and Research team as Senior Analyst.   

According to a press release, Vines joins FundQuest from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he positioned fee-based solutions to financial advisers.  He will assume leadership of FundQuest’s Northeast, Midwest and Southwest territories.  Simonetti’s 15 years of experience will help drive business growth in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and West territories.  He previously held senior sales positions with Putnam Investments, MassMutual and MFS Investment Management.    

Portelli’s has twenty years of experience in relationship management with Fidelity Investments and MFS Institutional Advisors, the announcement said. Zall possesses over ten years of industry experience in both senior marketing roles and financial sales.    

Peterson brings eight years of experience working for wealth management firms such as Karpus Investment Management and John Hancock Financial Services where she performed analysis and performance oversight across a variety of asset classes and platforms.
