A news release said Gemmill will be responsible for leading the product innovation function for designated product lines including fixed annuity, fixed index annuity, and life insurance products. Gemmill will also partner with market management leadership to develop a holistic product portfolio and offerings.
Gemmill came to Allianz Life from Ameriprise Financial, where she most recently served as vice president of Consumer Marketing, responsible for developing enterprisewide strategic initiatives to improve the client experience, and drive engagement, satisfaction, and relationship deepening across more than two million branded client households, according to the announcement. Prior to that, she was vice president of Marketing Planning and Campaign Management. Before joining Ameriprise, Gemmill held executive-level positions with a variety of financial service companies including ING Minneapolis, American Express Financial Advisors, U.S. Bancorp, and Retail Payment Systems.
Gemmill earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Wisconsin. She also has a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
