The HRA allows employers to provide employees with money to pay for health-care expenses such as deductibles, co-pays, other items insurance does not cover, or even insurance coverage costs, according to a SunGard Corbel news release. The plan interests workers because they can carry over unused funds from one year to the next while the HRA can appeal to employers because it helps to control costs while providing more employee options.
