ETFs saw total domestic equity index assets rise to $109.59 billion in June from $108.28 billion in May. Likewise, gains were seen in broad-based domestic ETFs, increasing to $95.04 billion from $94.27 billion, according to data supplied by the Investment Company Institute (ICI).
Keeping with the trend of expanding indices, all other fund types recorded an increase in total assets in June:
- Domestic sector/industry – $14.54 billion, from $14 billion
- Global/International – $8.12 billion, from $6.61 billion
- Bond – $3.87 billion, from $3.55 billion
Additionally, the value of ETF shares issued in June exceeded that of shares redeemed by $3.45 billion. The total number of ETFs remained steady at 114.
