ING Exec To Lead Hedge Fund Site

February 1, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Hedge fund Web site PlusFunds.com has tapped former ING Group executive John J. Pileggi as its new president and chief executive.

Pileggi was formerly president and CEO of ING Group’s U.S. mutual fund operations. Prior to joining ING, Pileggi served as senior managing director and member of the board of directors for Furman Selz LLC, where he was responsible for setting up a mutual funds division as well as co-heading the prime brokerage division.

Christopher Sugrue, CEO of PlusFunds.com since its inception in 1998, will now focus on setting the company’s strategic direction as chairman.
