ING Turns to Forstl for Business Development Post

June 11, 2009 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - ING Investment Management Americas has named Michael Forstl as vice president of business development.

An ING news release said Forstl will be responsible for relationships with major financial institutions which distribute the firm’s mutual funds, separate accounts, offshore funds, closed-end funds, structured products and subadvisory services.

Forstl founded Strategic Intro, a distribution development consulting firm and, before that, spent 20 years with Nuveen Investments where he held several senior positions. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Nuveen’s global structured products group and, before that, as Managing Director of Nuveen Advisor Consulting Services overseeing distribution in the Eastern Division.

“Our firm continues to place significant importance on having strong relationships with major financial institutions that distribute our various investment solutions,” said Jake Tuzza, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development for ING Investment Management, in the announcement.

ING said the firm also hired Jonathan Golub as Chief Market Strategist to work with clients by providing market and economic insights and investment ideas.
