Instinet Installs Post-Merger Management Team

November 1, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Instinet Group's senior management is now in place with the appointment of several managers including John Fay as chief financial officer, Dow Jones reported.

Fay used to be Island ECN’s chief financial officer before the two companies merged , according to a press announcement.

Instinet, an electronic agency securities broker, also announced the following appointments, effective immediately:

  • Will Sterling, Island’s president and chief technology officer, will also lead Instinet’s Broker-Dealer Execution & Clearing Group
  • Andrew Goldman, formerly head of corporate communications for Island, will lead Instinet’s Global Marketing & Communications
  • Alex Goor will also lead strategy and planning for Instinet.

All of the executives will report to Instinet Chief Executive Ed Nicoll.
