IRS Issues FAQs for New SSA Schedule for Form 5500 Filers
December 5, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The Internal Revenue Service has posted frequently asked questions and answers to provide general information about the new Form 8955-SSA which replaces Schedule SSA in the Form 5500.

The FAQs include questions specifically related to situations for 403(b) plans (see (b)lines Ask the Experts: New Form 5500 SSA Schedule).
Because the Form 8955-SSA was not timely available, the IRS extended the filing deadline (see Filing Date Extneded for New SSA Form).
