IRS Posts Determination Letter Info on Web Site

October 19, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Plan sponsors seeking an Internal Revenue Service letter proclaiming their plan as tax qualified can get copies of the recently revised necessary forms from the IRS Web site.

IRS Announcement 2001-77 described changes to the determination letter process implemented to allow officials to better handle the influx of applications coinciding with the end of the current remedial amendment period.

The revised forms cover tax qualification letters for pension, profit-sharing, stock bonus and annuity plans.
