It's a Dirty Job…
Burger King Corp. said on Tuesday that an employee who was videotaped taking a bath in a utility sink in one of its restaurants is no longer with the company. Timothy Tackett, 25, told WDTN-TV in Dayton that he is the bather and that he made the video for his MySpace page, according to the Associated Press.
The nearly four-minute video, which has been removed from MySpace, shows the man, who refers to himself as “Mr. Unstable” taking the bath to celebrate his birthday. A Burger King spokeswoman declined to tell the AP whether Tackett quit or was fired, but Tackett claims he was fired.
Tackett’s only regret, according to the news report: The incident also led to the departure of the employee who recorded him bathing, as well as the restaurant’s shift manager.
And, restaurant-goers, don’t worry. Greene County Health Commissioner Mark McDonnell said he dispatched an inspector to the restaurant, but workers had already sterilized the sink, which is used to clean large pieces of equipment.
