JPMAM Names Gearin as COO

 August 30, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - J.P.  Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has selected James Gearin as Chief Operating Officer of its Retirement Plan Services (RPS) business.  

  

 Gearin will be based in Overland Park, Kansas, and will report to David Musto, CEO of J.P. Morgan RPS. He will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and execution of J.P. Morgan RPS business operations, including oversight of operations and technology programs and initiatives, project management, and business management.

Gearin joins JPMAM from the consulting group Knowledgent, where he most recently led its Retirement practice.  Between 1983 and 2008, he worked in the Retirement and Benefits Outsourcing business at Fidelity Investments where he led financial operations, client services, integrated product development, and business development strategy
