MassMutual Hires Three Relationship Managers

July 6, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - MassMutual Retirement Services has announced the hire of three new relationship managers: Brian Curtin, Tapas Ghosh, and Richard Wright.

According to a recent press release, the newcomers will join the firm’s Retirement Services sales and client management organization, led by Hugh O’Toole, senior vice president of sales and client relationship management for MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division.

Curtin joins as a senior relationship manager, and is responsible for mid-market customers in the northeast region. He is based out of southern New Hampshire/Boston as part of the Boston local team, and will report to Palmer Whitney, assistant vice president of sales and client management. He comes to MassMutual from Putnam Investments, where he served in a relationship management role.

Ghosh has been hired as director of relationship management, and is responsible for large market customers in the south-central region. He will report directly to Tom Cremona, vice president of sales and client management, and is based out of Raleigh, North Carolina, as part of the North Carolina/South Carolina/Tennessee local team. Ghosh comes to MassMutual with experience from prior director and relationship management roles at Fidelity Investments and The Vanguard Group.

Wright comes to MassMutual as a senior relationship manager. He will also report to Whitney, and is responsible for mid-market customers in the greater New York/New Jersey metro area. He previously held several roles with Prudential Financial, Inc., with responsibilities in participant solutions, internal sales and relationship management.

“These qualified new team members will contribute to MassMutual Retirement Services by supporting our growth while enhancing our service to advisors and plan sponsors,” said O’Toole, in the announcement.
