MD Fund Taps new CIO

March 24, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Mansco Perry III has been selected as chief investment officer for the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System, the fund's Board of Trustees announced.

Perry was most recently Assistant Executive Director and Deputy Chief Investment Officer for the Minnesota State Board of Investment. His previous experience included the Minnesota Department of Revenue, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, the Dayton Hudson Corporation, and Cargill, Incorporated, according to the announcement.

Perry holds a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.

The appointment of Perry is the culmination of a national search conducted by the board to replace Steven Huber, who accepted a position with T. Rowe Price Associates.
