Mellon Reveals New Name for HR, Investor Service Functions

October 1, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Buck Consultants, Mellon Investor Services, Mellon HR Solutions and Vinings Mellon have been dubbed Human Resources & Investor Solutions.

Mellon Financial Corporation announced the name change effective immediately and said the moniker was supplied to better support the company’s “value proposition” of fusing human and financial capital expertise.   Mellon Vice Chairman James Aramanda will head up Human Resources & Investor Solutions.

The new name will also take effect immediately for the human resources and investor services businesses in Canada, Australia, the UK and Asia.   Further, Mellon will be sounding the trumpets on its newly designated unit with an advertising campaign in various financial trade publications.
