Bernstein will report to Dard Hunter, senior partner and Midwest Health & Benefits leader. In his new role, Bernstein will be responsible for growing Mercer’s client relationships throughout Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus in Ohio, as well as northern Kentucky. He will also work closely with Mercer’s other business lines in order to provide a spectrum of solutions to clients.
“We are excited that James has taken on this new opportunity,” said Hunter. “Our clients are facing tremendous pressures to contain health-benefit-related costs, while at the same time provide a highly valuable and competitive benefits program. James has proven throughout his Mercer career the ability to help clients navigate these issues while at the same time grow our business and effectively lead consulting teams.”
Bernstein has been with Mercer for 11 years, holding roles of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as the Health & Benefits Operations leader for Cincinnati.
Bernstein has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Michigan.
