Mercer Debuts HR Goal Measurement Package

May 3, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Corporate executives looking for more impact from their human resources operations on their bottom lines may now have a better way to measure that goal.

Mercer Human Resources Consulting unveiled MercerHRMetrics – a set of diagnostic and measurement tools to establish and measure links between human resources and business results. The tool includes both quantitative and qualitative measurements.

MercerHRMetrics includes more than 20 measurement and diagnostic tools and services in two broad categories:

  • market alignment tools, which provide the ability to compare business performance, human capital practices, and HR infrastructure to market conditions, performance, and practices, and
  • organizational alignment tools, which help organizations focus the efforts of their people to improve financial results

According to the company, MercerHRMetrics can:

  • analyze an employer’s retirement program, both during employment and retirement,
  • examine the flow of employees into, through, and out of an organization,
  • show how personnel practices can drive business performance and identify the value of specific human resources changes,
  • connect performance – and the related risk – to incentive compensation and other human resource practices,
  • uncover the financial and operating drivers of an organization’s shareholder value creation,
  • provide a, quantitative picture of how an organization’s HR function is allocating its resources, and
  • collects information about employees’ commitment to their organization and identifies the specific issues that cause employees to stay with or leave the organization
