Mercer Hires CMS Official for Government Consulting

March 7, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Mercer’s Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) has added Dianne Heffron to the staff of its Washington, D.C. office.

Heffron will focus on design of government-sponsored health care programs, with an emphasis on strategic finance and payment reform techniques.

Prior to Mercer, Heffron worked for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), most recently as director, financial management group, for the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services. She was responsible for the overall financial management of the federal Medicaid program budget through oversight of federal grant outlays, state budget and expenditure reporting, national Medicaid reimbursement and state financing policy, and other activities to promote the program’s fiscal integrity.

“Dianne Heffron brings significant expertise and experience to Mercer at a critical time in the transformation of the US health care landscape. We’re very excited to have her join the Government Human Services Consulting practice,” said Branch McNeal, senior partner with Mercer and GHSC leader.
