Mercer Hires New COO/Head of Americas

July 18, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Mercer HR Services announced Wednesday that Michael Sternklar has been hired as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Americas.

Sternklar will oversee Mercer HR Services operations and service delivery, product strategy and development, marketing and communications, and the firm’s organizational effectiveness practice, according to the announcement. He will also be a member of Mercer’s global operating committee.

Sternklar was previously at Fidelity Investments, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Client Services and Sales. In this role he was responsible for client and market-facing activities for Fidelity Human Resources Services, a human resources, payroll and benefits outsourcing business serving Fortune 500 clients, the announcement said. He succeeds Paul Zurlo at Mercer HR Services, who recently resigned to pursue an opportunity in private equity.
