The company collected data from more than 8,000 mothers about how many hours go into their mothering duties at home and determined that the average stay-at-home mom juggles a 94.7 hour work week and a mom who also works outside the home manages 57.9 hours of work at home per week, in addition to the time she works outside the home. The mothers quantified their hours by job description.
Taking into account overtime and using salary data provided by employers, an average stay-at-home mom’s 2012 total salary would be $112,962. The at-home 2012 salary of a mom who also works outside the home would be $66,979.
