Monster and Hire Disability Services Create Specialized Job Site

June 16, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Monster and Hire Disability Services have announced their new job resource Web site for job seekers with disabilities.

The co-branded resource site, Hire Disability Services Career Network, is a  section on Hire Disability Services’ main Web site that introduces companies to job seekers with disabilities, according to a news release. Job seekers who register with Disability Services can search for jobs, post job profiles and use its resume-building capabilities. Companies can also post jobs on the site.

Jeffrey Klare, founder and CEO of Hire Disability Solutions, said in the news release that Monster’s resources will help expose job seekers with disabilities – there are 49 million Americans living with a disability – to a wealth of companies. Klare cited a National Business & Disability Council statistic that asserts there will be an estimated worker shortage of 35 million people by 2030, and Klare said people with disabilities can help overcome the shortfall.

“Together, our companies can play an important role in connecting employers and job seekers with disabilities, a group that has been largely overlooked in the past,” Klare said.
