Monster.com Launches Education Site

September 11, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - HR professionals who are frustrated with searching through tedious catalogs and brochures for skills training courses for their staff can now get help from a new Monster.com Web site.

The new site, MonsterLearning ,  helps manage employee education as a part of the  career-development process.

MonsterLearning Search, the first service introduced on the new site, will allow individuals and human resources professionals to explore options for career-related learning.

The search engine provides information on all types of learning opportunites including:

  • online and classroom courses
  • test preparation
  • degree programs
  • certifications.

Searches can be conducted two ways:

  • the Search All Learning method. Users can search a selection of learning opportunities by keyword or subject, learning type and delivery method. Results display course title, delivery method, learning type, learning provider, and price.
  • the Search Classroom Courses option. It focuses on learning opportunities taking place in a classroom or a combination of classroom and online.

Additional benefits for individual and corporate learning seekers include a First Time Seekers page to help users get started, links to the learning providers’ corporate Web sites, newsletters, and forums on learning-related issues and topics

Monster.com will expand the MonsterLearning platform with additional products to allow individuals to track, plan, manage and assess career development.

An ASP-based learning management system that will allow organizations to manage and track employee training will be introduced early next year.
